7 Things to Consider Before Buying Clothes

"I always feel that if you're gonna be uncomfortable and unhappy in something, just because you think it's in or it's chic, I would advise you to be happy rather than well-dressed. It's better to be happy." – Iris Apfel

Let's face it, many of us here love fashion. Who wouldn't, right? Fashion is simply expressing of who we are through what we wear. You can be whoever you want to be when you wear the clothes of your choice.  Not to mention, we buy clothes simply because we like it and we need it. However, did you know that there are certain things to consider before you buy clothes? It is not just about how pretty it is, or how it fits perfectly on you. It is also about contemplating what's best and what's not.

The moment you decide to go shopping for Wholesale Steve Madden or any other big brands, think twice before you purchase. To give you an idea, we list down some things to consider before you buy a particular cloth.

Is the price reasonable?

Perhaps, some of you won't mind paying for something that you feel it is worth your money. For as long as it's pretty and fits perfectly on you, then you'd definitely pay for it. But for some, the price may be subjected to debate – whether or not the clothes are worth the price. We may all have different answers to this question since we have a different view about it.

However, if you plan on saving money, then try not to spend too much on a particular clothing.  You may not want to put your clothes on a garage sale since you badly need money. Buy clothes that you need. And if you think it is too expensive, then try to scout for another store that sells the same clothes but at a lower price.

How often will I wear this?

Once? Occasionally? Every other day? Asking yourself how often will you wear that particular cloth will give you an idea if it is worth the purchase or not. For casual wear, you do not have to spend too much. You can have beautiful, comfortable, and decent clothes at an affordable price.

However, if you plan to wear it only once, then you might want to consider a different option. Perhaps, you can borrow clothes from your friends. With this, you are not going to waste your money just for a one-time wear.

Do I have something similar?

We all have a different style when it comes to our clothing. And sometimes, we tend to buy clothes that are somewhat similar to the previous clothes that we bought. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you want to look fashionable in the clothes you wear, you should also try different styles of clothing.

Before you decide to purchase, make sure to know how many clothes you already have that is similar to the one you want to buy. Also, try to be creative enough in mix matching your clothes. With this, you will not have to worry about buying another style of clothes for you to wear.

Will this be out of style soon?

"Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express but the way you dress and the way to live." – Gianni Versace

If you are a practical person, you'd definitely choose comfort over trendy clothes. Yes, they may be fancy and stylish. But buying these kinds of clothes may not be a practical way, especially when you are on a tight budget. Admittedly, you may be tempted to buy such trendy clothes. Just make sure that it is worth the price.

However, if you choose to purchase an item that is trendy nowadays, then find an alternative where you can have that particular cloth at an affordable price. Perhaps, you can go from store to store and compare which price that would fit your budget.

Does it flatter me?

Apparently, we do not buy clothes that don't fit us. Right?  When choosing the right clothes, you make sure that it suit to your figure, the cut, skin tone, and anything that would get you flatter. It is in this way where you can be stylish yet in a comfortable way as possible.

If you think you are not sure about whether it fits on you or not, you might want to bring a fashion savvy friend with you. With your friends with you will help you in determining which clothes is best for you.

Is it versatile?

Clothes can also be versatile – that if you know how to choose the right clothes for you to wear. Again, mix matching your clothes is also one way you can save from buying other clothes. Make sure that it can also be stylish even if they are paired with another top or bottom.

For many, they prefer to purchase a lot of solids. Solids can work well and are versatile enough for you to have. They also lend an air of elegance to an everyday outfit. Not to mention, you can have a simple look that focuses on your personal beauty.

Do I love it?

This is one of the most important questions you need to ask yourself before you decide to purchase a particular clothing. If you think you the clothes does not fit on you, then do not buy it.  Buying clothes that you do not like or love will only lead you to waste money. Again, you buy clothes because you need it and you like it. Moreover, never go impulsive buying. You don't want to regret buying it afterward.

The moment you decide to buy clothes, think about whether you love it or not. And if you do, then this might be your chance to purchase and wear that particular clothing.

Considering these things mentioned above, you'd definitely get a desirable outcome. Not just with the clothes that you want to wear, but the feeling of satisfaction whenever you own the things you want in life.

Of Jackets and Blazers: Six Coats Every Woman Needs in Her Wardrobe

“Things do not pass for what they are, but for what they seem. Most things are judged by their jackets.” –Baltasar Gracian If there is an epitomic fashion piece that would spell out cold seasons, it would have to be the jacket. Considering this to be an archetypal piece in your closets for the rainy and winter seasons, it is only natural to have several designs—it would be a fashion atrocity for a woman to continue sporting just one kind of sweater. However, most individuals care naught for style when it comes to covering up as to most, what you are wearing inside matters most. But any self-respecting fashionista would be singing a different tune: What you wear outside matters just as much as what you are wearing in your coats and jackets. And if you truly want to make a fashion statement, you should begin with your jacket. Jackets and coats are arguably two of most essential albeit underrated garments in your wardrobe. But in order to bring out the maximum potential of your winter or rainy day ensemble, you must at least have a multitude of jacket and coat options to choose from. From the bomber jacket designs of wholesale standard and grind to the trench coats of your favorite retail clothing shop, here are some of the jacket options you should never miss out on.

1. Leather Jacket

If there is one penultimate winter fashion piece your closet should have, it should be the winter jacket next to the trench coat. Everyone needs this staple in their closet as this should be your go-to piece for the weekends. In a sense, sporting a leather jacket is the height of cool, and when done right, it can look very sophisticated as well as stylish. As the style tends to vary each year, go with a classic cut that would last you over a span of various seasons if you do not wish to fork cash for every reinvention made to this definitive jacket style.
2. Trench Coat

Without a doubt, a classic trench coat by itself is already the very essence of sophistication and femininity. Donning a white one complemented by a dark scarf and sunglasses would make the contrasting colors stand out and create an effect that is subtle but arresting.  Look for a versatile piece that can be worn during your casual strolls in the park on a cold day, and can be dressed up for a night out in town. Choose a style that hits just below the knee for that classic and sophisticated look.

3. Rain Coat

People are under the mistaken notion that rain coats could never be stylish as they are always fashioned after transparent plastic bags. With this in mind, they would think it is shapeless and agonizingly tacky. But au contraire, rain coats can be effectively fashionable when done right. The rain coat is an absolute must-have during the transition season and for best results, go with the classic A-line cut with a hood. This classic shape is versatile, and it never goes out of style.

4. Classic Peacoat

Part preppy and part urban chic, this classic piece can be worn with a broad range of styles. If you are looking to channel your inner French chic, wear this with a striped shirt and a stylish hat (preferably a beret) to give your casual ensemble that extraordinary French vibe. For a different take, it goes well with denim and skirts as well. Transform your chic peacoat into your favorite go-to everyday jacket and begin experimenting with different styles.

5. Parka

Although this is not a necessary piece in your closet, it can be a very stylish addition. Depending on how cold your winters can get, a parka might be essential after all. If you find that your winter season is colder than usual, then perhaps you should make this necessary but stylish investment.

6. Luxury Coat

A glamorous and expensive coat is meant not only to conceal what is underneath it and protect you from the cold, but it also serves as a fashion statement item that exudes elegance as well as stylish sophistication. Your luxury coat can be made from any fabric you want though a vast majority of women seem to prefer faux fur. This would look absolutely gorgeous paired with oversized and distressed denim. For formal settings, intricate brocades are the way to go finished off with an extravagant faux fur collar.
